Please scroll down to view all the pictures. The scrolling gallery only shows 6 to 12 pictures but we always list 15 to 24 pictures of each item to show the details and the condition. We always combine shipping charges so please wait until auction end and invoice is received before paying. Our items are mostly Victorian and are not new and there may be imperfections due to the age of the item which we try to show in the pictures. We try to describe our items as accurately as we see them but please remember that pictures say a 1000 words. We photograph from every angle possible. Please take the time to look at the pictures before bidding on any of our items. If its not possible for you to look at the pictures then please do not bid. Our pictures are part of our description. Our items are all used, mostly Victorian and a few vintage. They have defects. Not the first item we sell is perfect. Please note: All the black marks and discolorations are not on the bowl but are reflections from the attached rim and shadows. Up for auction is a Victorian silver plate centerpiece bowl or fruit bowl by Rogers & Smith. The bowl is lovely featuring a hanging border around the rim composed of grape leaves and vines intertwining with the leaves. There is a makers mark on the inside of the base of the bowl but it is very hard to see though I can make out most of it. The bowl features an attached grape leave and vine rim which is very unusual. The process was used during the late 1800's and on to the early 1900's but items with attached pieces to the rim slowly disappeared from the marked. The silver plate is lovely with lots of shine and all the black marks are shadows and not on the bowl. There are no monograms, dents or repairs and the inside is clean and usable. It is a lovely centerpiece bowl. It stands about 6.5 inches tall and 9.75 inches wide. We will supply additional information and pictures if the buyer requests such. We do not believe in Buyers or Sellers Remorse. If we sell an item for less than worth we will still ship as part of our agreement but if you purchase an item we expect you to live up to your part of the bargain. Please ask questions. We will gladly answer. Please scroll down to view all the pictures.
