    ROAST PROFILE
    Similar to its neighboring Kenyan coffee, this Burundi coffee exhibits
    a very fine body and brightness along with an exquisite balance and a zesty, clean tasting cup.
    At City roast, this coffee has creamy chocolate mouthfeel, a tamarind top note and a touch of bittersweet candied lemon peel which comes through as the coffee cools.
    Darker roasts construct a chocolate undertone, with a finishing flavor of chocolate raisin and
    a buttery toffee flavor with layers of caramelizing sugar sweetness.

    This stellar Fair Trade certified coffee from the pioneering Gatukuza women’s empowerment group in Burundi, is the product of many years of hard work and advocacy by the women of the group.
    The coffee is produced by the 500 plus women small holder farmers
    in Kayanza district,
    Burundi's northern province that borders neighboring Rwanda.
