Description
For your consideration is a beautiful sterling silver and cut glass dresser / vanity jar.
The repousse sterling silver lid features an Art Nouveau style design with a woman’s face near the edge.
There is a monogram on the convex portion of the lid.
The side of the lid is marked ‘STERLING 925/1000 FINE’, 1602 D’, and a maker’s mark which appears to be that of the Mauser Manufacturing Company.
The Mauser Manufacturing Company was active in New York City from 1887 to 1903.
This is a fabulous piece and would make a great addition to the collector of sterling silver Art Nouveau pieces.
Condition
The lid is engraved with a monogram.
There are some shallow dings to the sterling silver.
There is some white residue to the glass jar.
