    Description

Knife Plastun - a historical friend of the Russian Cossack! Knife is made according to historical sketches, two dale, impressive length, brass or nickel-silver casting.
Historians who have studied the origin of the Plastun Knife agree that the Plastun Knife was a weapon that only selected Cossacks deserved. The name comes from the fact that this weapon was used by sabotage and reconnaissance groups that moved covertly, often crawling, i.e. "For the bellies". Only experienced warriors, hardened in battles, could get into such an elite group; there was no place for hot young Cossacks. It was not possible to use long cold weapons in hidden expeditions, and crawling with a saber was not quite convenient. Such a knife was sometimes made of a piece of fighting checkers, hence the two dale, which make the knife more resistant to lateral loads.
