Handmade Custom Hunting Knife

Description

This hunting knife was handcrafted in my shop.  It features a full tang, measuring approximately 9 inches, with a 4 1/2 inch blade.  The blade includes a CFFA maker's mark.  It includes a handcrafted leather sheath, also created in my shop.
The blade is made of tough, high quality 1084 high carbon steel, heat-treated and tempered, leaving it with an HRC of around 58-60.  It has been subject to hours of hand-sanding, leaving it with a beautiful satin finish.
The handle is made from custom-made "mycarta" constructed from pressed denim, fleece and resin.  The handle also features blue and white G10 liners that work very well against the black, blue and white "mycarta" patterns.  The handle contains 1/8" stainless steel pins and lanyard feature.
The included sheath is a custom made, leather sheath from high quality 8/9 oz. leather shoulder, featuring custom tooling on the face, an edge welt and configured for vertical belt carry.  It was dyed black and certainly compliments the knife.  Neatsfoot oil was added for future protection.
This knife has been pre-sharpened and is razor sharp.  Caution and attention is suggested.
Note that since this steel is a high carbon steel, care should be used to keep it clean and oiled to avoid tarnishing and rusting.
