    Description

Genuine Ironman of OKC Searles Bowie Knife Collectors Re-Enactor Camp Hunting
This is a genuine Ironman of OKC representation of the famous Searles Bowie Knife. This is a 100% handmade period knife made in Oklahoma USA. Collectors, Re-Enactors, Hunting, Field, Fishing, Camp Bowie Knife
    .
    Possibly a 2011 to 2013 build.
When Jim Bowie fought Mike the Bull on a sandbar in Natchez, it won him fame as a knife fighter. However, the knife that he used that day was not the legendary Iron Mistress. Rather, it was a knife made by New Orleans cutler John Searles, and was given to Jim by his brother Rezin as a birthday present. This is his interpretation of that knife. French Privateer Jean Lafitte owned one as well.
Polished 1095HC blade is 7" long that has been tempered to 56RC. Knife is 12 1/8" overall. Good weight at 14 oz., 16.4 oz. in it's sheath.
Beautiful handle is stabilized African Blackwood with a  guard, ferrule, spacers and buttcap of polished 4140 steel
The cowhide belt sheath is held together by 16 double capped nickel rivets and is authentic to the knife.
Please note: Rifle shell ( 30-06 ) not included. Shown for scale only. All Bidders must be at least 18 years old. Quick Shipping. All sales ship USPS Priority Mail.
